As a music enthusiast and DJ, I recently decided to upgrade my equipment to take my skills to the next level. After doing some research, I settled on purchasing products from two well-known brands in the industry: Akai and Numark. However, what followed was a frustrating experience that left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed.
The Promise of Quality
When I initially decided to invest in Akai and Numark products, I had high expectations. Both brands have a reputation for producing high-quality audio equipment, and their products are widely used by professionals in the music industry. I believed that by choosing these brands, I would be getting reliable and top-notch equipment.
Product Malfunctions
Unfortunately, my experience with Akai and Numark did not live up to my expectations. After receiving the products, I encountered numerous issues with their functionality. The Akai controller would frequently freeze, causing my DJ sets to come to an abrupt halt. The Numark mixer had a faulty crossfader, which made smooth transitions between songs nearly impossible.
Poor Customer Support
When I reached out to Akai and Numark customer support for assistance, I was met with a disappointing response. The representatives seemed uninterested in resolving my issues and provided vague and unhelpful advice. Despite following their instructions, the problems persisted, leaving me frustrated and without a solution.
Lack of Durability
Another aspect that disappointed me was the lack of durability in both the Akai and Numark products. Within a few months of use, the knobs on the Akai controller started to loosen, making precise adjustments difficult. The buttons on the Numark mixer became unresponsive over time, hindering my ability to control various features during performances.
Missed Opportunities
The malfunctioning equipment from Akai and Numark not only affected my DJ performances but also caused me to miss out on potential gigs and opportunities. The unreliable nature of the products made it impossible for me to confidently showcase my skills, leading to missed connections and disappointments in my budding career.
Conclusion
My experience with Akai and Numark has been nothing short of frustrating. The promise of quality and reliability fell flat, as I encountered multiple issues with the products. The lack of effective customer support and the poor durability of the equipment only added to my disappointment. As a result, I am now left searching for alternative brands that can provide the reliability and performance I need to pursue my passion for music.
